A new Cook Compression satellite service center in Grand Junction, Colorado, recently began operations. The facility is designed to augment the capabilities of a larger regional Cook Compression Service Center in Denver.
"Since opening our Denver Service Center last October, we have seen steadily increasing demand for our repair services in the region," explained Don York, President of Cook Compression. "The Grand Junction facility allows us to efficiently meet that demand while providing quick turnaround and short lead-times for gas gathering and processing customers along the western slope of the Rocky Mountains and surrounding areas."
While the Denver Service Center provides a broad range of compressor aftermarket services and parts, the Grand Junction facility focuses on valve repair, packing case repair and manufacturing of rings and rider bands. It also serves as a regional stocking location for a wide range of parts to support Ariel compressors.
The facility provides state-of-the-art repair capabilities, with highly experienced technicians using the latest equipment and procedures. Jim Long serves as facility supervisor under the direction of Mark Almon, Denver Service Center Manager, and Jeff Huston, General Manager of U.S. Service Operations.
The Grand Junction facility is the latest addition to Cook Compression's network of service facilities. It is located next to fellow Dover Corporation company Ferguson Beauregard, which manufactures and services plunger lift systems for natural gas wells. The Grand Junction service facility is at 2487 Industrial Dr, Units 6 and 7.
