Strategic Changes Highlight Continued Expansion of Services Group

Organizational and personnel moves enhance customer service, facilitate growth

Houston, TX (January 4, 2010) - Cook Compression announced a series of strategic changes designed to strengthen and expand the company's U.S. Services Group.

According to Jeff Huston, General Manager of U.S. Service Operations, "These moves are being made to create a closer alignment of service center responsibility with sales responsibility in each region of the U.S. The ultimate objective is improved customer service - through expanded service offerings in each region and enhanced responsiveness to customer needs."

As part of the strategy, Layne Pate has been promoted to Western U.S. Regional Manager. Pate assumes management responsibility for Cook Compression service centers in Denver and Grand Junction, CO., as well as oversight of the service center in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pate is relocating to the Denver area. Pate's responsibility over service operations aligns with Western U.S. Sales Manager David Michael.

In a similar move, Jimmy Parker has been promoted to Mid-Continent Regional Manager. Parker has management responsibility for the service center in Tyler, TX, and oversight of the Oklahoma City service center. Parker will continue to reside in Tyler. His responsibilities for service align with Mid-Continent Sales Manager Mike Holt.

Cook-MFS Expanding

Cook Compression is also accelerating the growth of Cook-MFS, which provides turnkey repair, maintenance and overhaul services for compressors, engines, pumps, turbines and other reciprocating and rotating equipment.

"As we work to expand service offerings in these areas, Cook-MFS will be adding field crews in each service center location," said Huston. "In the Western U.S., Cook-MFS Regional Manager Ralph Simon will work with Pate and Michael. In the Mid-Continent region, Cook-MFS Regional Manager Jerry Horton will combine efforts with Parker and Holt to expand mechanical services.

"This alignment between sales, service centers and Cook-MFS will further solidify our position as a single source of solutions for our customers."

Almon Returns to Houston

In a related move, Service Center Manager Mark Almon will return to Houston after spearheading the creation of Cook Compression service centers in Denver and Grand Junction, CO. Almon will work from the Houston office to assist other regions until assuming leadership of the next service center development project.

"Mark has done an outstanding job of establishing two premier service centers in the Rockies and has managed both facilities with great success in a difficult economic climate. All of us at Cook want to express our appreciation to Mark for a job well done."
